The National Deputy Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen in Nigeria and the Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Honourable Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has described the death of the first civilian Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, as a huge loss to the country.
Princess Folashade described Lateef Jakande as one of the pace setters of development in Nigeria and the one whose legacies will forever live on.
She made it known that the former Governor of Lagos, Jakande, will forever be celebrated for the many sacrifices he took for the development of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

“Alhaji Lateef Jakande was a man of honour, a man of class and a man of integrity.The legacies he left behind will forever linger on in our dear state. Indeed, We have truly lost a gem in Nigeria.”
