We Stand Strongly In Support Of Minister Of State For Defence – Says AYCF

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has responded to protests orchestrated against the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, stating that the group stands strongly behind him.

In a statement signed by the President General, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, the AYCF said, “The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) stands resolutely in support of our esteemed Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, in light of the recent protests and disturbances orchestrated against him. We wish to categorically state that these actions are not mere expressions of dissent; rather, they form part of a broader scheme aimed at destabilizing the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This orchestrated campaign is being driven by a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is operating in proxy for the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal”.

“The AYCF recognizes that Bello Matawalle has emerged as a formidable voice for the President in Northern Nigeria. His unwavering commitment to the security and well-being of our communities has made him a target for those who perceive his influence as a threat. The recent protests are a desperate attempt by these perpetrators to undermine his credibility and, by extension, the integrity of President Tinubu’s administration.
