In keeping with her promise to be the financial institution of choice in service delivery and superior returns, Wema Bank is marking this year’s Customer Service Week with several rewarding initiatives to further enhance customer experience in all her branches.

In line with this year’s Customer Service Week globally themed “Dream Team”, the Wema Bank community will be celebrating teams that embrace the service culture, readily adapt to change, value teamwork and constantly strive for excellence.

The Bank has specifically adopted a sporting theme for this years’ celebration, tagged “Bring it on”.

The week-long event which runs from Monday October 5 to Friday October 9 will feature sport-like activities such as “Trophy Monday”, “The Optimum search” and “Tested champions”.

Among the activities slated for the program is a day set aside for celebrating and recognizing the frontline staff for their efforts in dealing with the ongoing pandemic.

This had members of the Bank staff dressed as medical practitioners to the workplace in recognition of the nurses and doctors who have been tirelessly working to control the Covid-19 disease.

As part of initiatives to commemorate the program, the Bank has set out to select a community which it shall support to achieve a project.

Different teams would pitch their community-improving projects, amongst which the Bank would select one to financially support towards the realization of the project.

Such an act is intended by the Bank to inspire her staff and customers to readily give back to the society.

To conclude the week-long event, Service awards will be given to high-performing branches, departments and staff of the Bank who have shown excellence in service over the course of the year.

Speaking at one of the activities celebrating the event, Head Customer Experience and Process Management, Wema Bank, Kemi Adeniji said; “Every year, thousands of companies across different sectors and around the world celebrate Customer Service Week. This year is even more peculiar, because, we have had to see staff and members of organizations in various sectors go above and beyond in providing uncompromised service to customers amidst a life-threatening pandemic. This is really worth recognizing and celebrating”

Wema Bank, with its noteworthy customer service culture which has won the bank many awards, has since the last 75 years provided impeccable customer support to its diverse customers by meeting their individual and business needs.

The bank has been able to achieve this by constantly providing exciting and innovative banking solutions such as ALAT; Africa first fully digital bank, WhatsApp banking and *945# USSD amongst many other solutions.
