As members of the United African Methodist Church (UAMC) Organisation are getting set for their Annual Delegates’ Conference billed to come up at the Cathedral Church of the Organisation in Igbogbo, Lagos State, a member of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the Conference, Prince Adeniyi Ogunlewe has assured that the church is ready for the hosting.

Ogunlewe, who is also the Chairman of the church’s Leaders’ Meeting in a chat with our correspondent said the church is ready to host over 500 members of the Organisation from Thursday, January 23 to Sunday, January 26, 2025.

According to him, all hands are on deck for a successful hosting of the Conference, which is the 83rd edition, as all that needed to be done has been put in place.

He said: “Igbogbo is home of hospitality and we have put in place machinery that will make the delegates comfortable.

“The Conference is going to be a huge success based on what we have put on the ground, I can assure you that,” he said.

He went further: “In 2022 when we hosted the Conference last, we set a pace in the history of the Organisation with our superb organisation and the memory of that hosting lingers in the hearts of our members.

“This year we are going to raise the bar to a height that next year’s host will be battling and struggling to surpass because of what we have put in place.

“Igbogbo is noted for execellence and hospitality. This year’s Conference is not going to be different. We are ready for the delegates and ready to host a successful Conference,” he said.

In a related development, General Secretary of the Organisation in charge of Administration, Bro. Ayo Bada informed that three additional Archbishops would be installed during the Delegates’ Conference.

The United African Methodist Church (UAMC) Organisation is set to install three additional Archbishops to its ministry.

Bada said each of the Archbishop-designates represent the three Dioceses of the Organisation namely Lagos, Ogun and Badagry Dioceses.

He said: “The three Archbishop-designates are Rt. Rev. Noah Adekanmbi Olabisi (JP); Rt. Rev. Mathew Ayinde Olajonlu (JP) and Rt. Rev. Moses Jesuyo Toyi.

“While Rt. Rev. Olabisi is from the Ilaro Circuit of the Organisation under the Ogun Diocese, Rt. Rev. Olajonlu is from the Cathedral church of the Organisation under the Badagry Diocese and Rt. Rev. Toyi is from the Cathedral church in Igbogbo,” said Bada.

He said that the three Archbishops will join – His Grace Michael Olaitan Olajide who is at the Cathedral Church of the Organisation in Ado-Odo, Ogun State.
