Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday, said his administration has matched words with achievements as far as governance is concerned in the past three years.

Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his address at the third Anniversary Thanksgiving Service of his administration with the theme: “O God, Our Help in Ages Past”, held on Sunday at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Ikeja.

The Governor, who was represented at the event by his wife, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, expressed gratitude to God for the mercies, protection, wisdom and understanding that has assisted the administration in achieving success within the last three years.

He maintained that despite all the challenges faced by the present administration, the State Government was able to match words with achievements, especially in the implementation of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda and other things promised Lagosians.

“Despite all the challenges faced in the recent past by the present administration, we were able to record unprecedented achievements as far as the implementation of our T.H.E.M.E.S agenda and other lofty programmes we promised Lagosians three years ago. We were able to match our words with achievements”, Sanwo-Olu said.

The Governor thanked Lagosians for the cooperation and support as well as the fervent prayers of men and women of different religions and denominations, enjoining all residents to rally around the government as the year 2023 general elections approach.

“Let me at this juncture express our appreciation to all Lagosians for your support, cooperation and prayers in the past three years. We want more of your support as we approach the 2023 general elections, in which by the special grace of God, I and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, would be participating as governorship and deputy governorship candidates of our great party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), for another term of four years in office. By the grace of God, I assure all Lagosians that better times lie ahead”, Sanwo-Olu said.

Earlier in his sermon, Bishop of the Diocese of Badagry, Methodist Church Nigeria, Rt. Rev. Dr. Sunday Onadipe, said the achievements recorded by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos State, confirmed that he had a very great notion and initiatives to make Lagos Greater, adding that Governor Sanwo-Olu is an epitome of good leadership.

Rev. Onadipe urged the Governor to continually pray for wisdom to tackle insecurity and youth unrest, while also focusing on the speedy completion of the Lagos-Badagry Road.
