Veteran actor and movie director, Prince Jide Kosoko has advanced reasons he believes the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu should be elected as the next Nigerian President.

He also said that he and his other colleagues who are rooting for the former Lagos State Governor are doing so out of personal conviction.

Kosoko, who is the Secretary of the Creative Arts Directorate of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, gave the reasons while speaking to journalists in Lagos on Monday, adding that taking into consideration the outstanding Leadership qualities, personal attributes and antecedents of Asiwaju Tinubu as a man, he is best suited for the office of President at this time.

He also said that Tinubu’s attributes of hard work, extensive vision, rich experience and striking intelligence, networks of vital contacts, sense of equity, justice and fairness with high regard for the rule of law, stands him out from the rest of the candidates contesting the 2023 presidential election.

According to him, Tinubu is a bridge builder across regional, ethnic and religious lines that is capable of uniting the country.

“He is an exceptional manager of resources and a seasoned administrator that I believe Nigeria and Nigerians need at the moment.

“His capacity and the political will to institute a new concept of governance and new agenda of sustainable development, to provide effective leadership, capable of providing solutions to the numerous challenges confronting the nation are not in doubt.

“As a politician, Asiwaju Tinubu has shown he is a master strategist, as a leader, he has built men, as governor, he excelled and as a party leader, he has guided the APC to success at different polls.

“Tinubu stands out from the pack, he is a lover of people, which for me should be the driving force of politics. This love for the people have been the driving force of his numerous struggles for democracy and good governance”, Kosoko said.

The iconic actor also said the APC flag bearer has a vast knowledge in economic management and a perfect understanding of Nigeria’s political economy, adding that Tinubu raised Lagos State’s internally generated revenue from a paltry N600 million monthly to N51 billion as of today.

Speaking on why he and many of his colleagues are rooting for Tinubu, Prince Kosoko said it was a matter of personal conviction, noting that everyone supporting any of the presidential candidates have a reason for doing so.

“For me and many of colleagues who are rooting for Tinubu, we are doing so because we are convinced on his candidacy and his ability to deliver. We are supporting him because we have witnessed first hand what he is capable of. We have testimonies of his humane nature, his love for development, his love for the people of this country and his resolve to take the country to a greater height.

“We are supporting him because of our love for Nigeria! Becaue we want Nigeria to be a better place for all. We want Nigeria that we can all be proud of. We want a nation that works for me and you and only Asiwaju Tinubu can make these happen”, he added.
