Woman, 46, Docked For Kicking Man’s Scrotum During Public Brawl

A 46-year old woman, Adubi Nancy, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for displaying her fighting prowess with a man, Kingsley Okpara, by kicking him on the scrotum during a public brawl and injuring him in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 15th March, 2024, at Jobore Street, off Galilee Avenue,Iju Ogundimu area of Lagos, where they reside.
The victim, Kingsley Okpara is lying critically ill at an undisclosed hospital because of swollen scrotum and at the moment cannot have erection due to severe pains caused by the injury he sustained during the attack.
The suspect, Nancy, has been arrested and charged for allegedly inflicting such injury on the victim, which may deprive him of sexual contact with any woman if not properly handled medically.
According to the Police, the suspect and the victim had a disagreement over an undisclosed matter, which led to hot exchange of words. And in the process, Nancy was said to have kicked his scrotum and injured him seriously before was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The matter was reported to the Police at Iju Police Division. She was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her conduct on the victim.
After interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the assault.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since the defendant pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted her bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
