A Staff Nurse of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, Lagos, had a nasty experience while performing her lawful duty as a woman, Ochuogwu Roseline, attacked and tore her uniform leaving her naked in the hospital.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the 47-year old woman,  Ochuogwu Roseline, has been arrestd and charged for allegedly battering the nurse, Adebayo Esther.
The incident happened on 8th February, 2025, at LASUTH, located at No. 1/5, Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA Ikeja.
According to the Police, the suspect had a disagreement with the victim over an  undisclosed matter, which led to exchange of words between them. In the process, the suspect assaulted, tore her uniform and left her naked.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ikeja Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct against the victim.
After interrogation, the Police found her culpable and subsequently charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged assault.
The charge read:
“That you, Ochuogwu Roseline, on the 8th day of February, 2025 at about 1930hrs, at No. 1/5, Oba Akinjobi way GRA Ikeja Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did assault one Adebayo Esther, a Nurse of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Ikeja, by tearing her uniform while performing her lawful duty and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 170 and punishable under Section 172 of Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted her bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she  will perfect her bail conditions.
