A 35-year old stepmother, Mrs. Omo Okowele who allegedly turned her husband’s two teenagers to slaves has landed in trouble for her wickedness.

The incident happened in their home located at 4 Jenbo Street off Moshalasi Road, Igando, Lagos where they resided.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the victims, Blessing, 9 and Daniel suffered their fate after their mother parted ways with their father. Their father then married Mrs. Omo as his new wife and their stepmother.

It was gathered that as soon as Mrs. Omo came in as their stepmother, she did not like the sight of the two children by her husband’s former wife. She reportedly turned the victims into slaves and began to maltreat them probably with the intention to eliminate them.

She was said to have continuously tortured, starved them of food and inflicted injuries of them daily. As conquered slaves, she reportedly locked them inside the room before their neighbours who knew the condition of the victims contacted the police who went and rescued the victims.

The police also arrested the woman and charged her before the Ikeja Magistrates court for the alleged offence.

She pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 2 April, 2018.
