CYRIACUS IZUEKWE

A woman, Mrs Chidaza Ezeaka has been duped after she paid N274,000 to fake prophet for deliverance prayer which turned out to be a hoax in Lagos.
Ezeaka was made to pay the money after she was told strange things about her family which she refused to disclose to our correspondent by the fake prophet and his team which proffered deliverance solution and she fell into their trap and was duped.
The fake prophet, Uche Ekeh has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court with conspiracy, obtaining under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code.
The embittered Ezeaka parted with her hard earned money after she encountered Ekeh and others now at large at Abesan first gate, Baruwa, Ipaja where she entered their car and they made some prophesies concerning her.
They drove her down to Dorcas Street in Ejigbo area of Lagos where she was highly manipulated and eventually duped.
She said while making the revelation, they took her to their fake church in Ejigbo where she was hypnotized and made her to go to her bank and withdrew all the money in her account and gave them.
She said after they collected the money, she was asked to come back in the following day for final prayer and deliverance. On getting there the following day, she did not find any of them again and she was told by the residents that she had been duped as such people had no church there.
She went back home and then revealed the secret to her husband.

Ezeaka told her husband that they placed her on oath and warned her not to tell anyone about it until after the prayer and the deliverance which she kept to herself.
The matter was reported to the Police at Area M command, Idimu and Ejigbo Police division who trailed and arrested Ekeh.
Police source said Ekeh did not deny and informed the police the woman got what she wanted and they have prayed for her.
He was charged with the alleged offence before Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo and he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A.A. Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ekeh was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
