The police have arrested two suspects in connection with the assassination plot by United Kingdom based woman against her younger sister over a failed human trafficking deal.

The suspects, Osaro Okonoban and Lucky Oboh, had charged N5m and had already received N500,000 advance payment for the execution of the bloody act before the police busted them in Igando area of Lagos.

The two sisters involved in the feud were 60-year old Gladys Osaigbovo-Omo and her younger sister one Augusta Osaigbovo, who was based in United Kingdom; both hailed from Benin City in Edo State.

Mrs. Gladys Osaigbovo-Omo

P.M.EXPRESS confirmed that Gladys who was based in Nigeria pleaded with Augusta who was the eldest in the family to assist her daughter, Mercy Moon, and take her to UK since she was already there. It was gathered that Augusta agreed, procured the necessary documents and brought Mercy to UK to secure a job for her.
However, when Mercy got to UK, it dawned on her that her aunt, Augusta, was the leader of a prostitution ring and indeed had recruited her into prostitution in London but she refused to submit herself for the illicit trade.

The police said that Augusta then set Mercy up and handed her over to the UK police authorities. However, Mercy was lucky and she managed to escape from the police net and exposed Augusta.
Hence, Augusta was arrested and jailed. When she finished serving her jail term, she complained to her sister, Gladys, what her daughter, Mercy, did to her which ruined her in UK. She felt that her sister was supporting her daughter, Mercy, and she decided to eliminate her. She then hired assassins to achieve that aim.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that this was confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, and the two suspects were paraded at the State Command, Lagos.
The police boss said that the DPO, Igando Division, CSP Taiwo Kasumu, got the information of the plans to kill Gladys and planted two agent provocateurs to play along with the hired assassins. He said that the gang assembled, were paid N500,000 by Augusta as mobilization fee and they went to Benin City in Edo State and identified Gladys. They returned to Lagos and demanded N4.5m from Augusta before they were rounded up.
CP Edgal said that the suspects will be charged to court while efforts were being made to arrest Augusta.
