A 36-year old woman, Esther Sunday has temporarily suspended her female rival, Gloria Onafuye from eating any food after she rained blows on her mouth and damaged her lips.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at 3 Musa Street in Itire, Lagos where they resided.
It was learnt that Gloria had not taken any food since then because of the injuries she sustained before she was taken to an undisclosed hospital where she was being treated.
It was gathered that the suspect and the victim had disagreement which resulted in both of them engaging in a public fight. In the course of the figure, Esther reportedly targeted her rival’s mouth and rained blows which injured her lips badly and she bled profusely.
The police did not state the cause of the fight. However, it was gathered that the ladies had constant quarrels to the extent that their neighbours had in the past attempted to settle their rift to non avail.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the alleged assault was reported to the police at Itire Division, Esther was arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrates court.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr Oje Uagbale did not opposed her bail condition but asked the court for a short adjournment for trial.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Teluwo granted Esther bail in the sum of N20,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 30 May, 2018.
