A woman who brought a 15-year old girl from Akwa Ibom State, kept her in a popularly hotel and set sex targets for her has been arrested in Lagos.
The incident happened at the popular Kolabo Hotel located at Ige Street in Iyana Ipaja where the victim, Gloria Asuquo was rescued by the police.
It was gathered that the suspects arranged and brought the victim to Lagos under the false pretence of securing a good work for her.
However, when she was brought to Lagos, they disconnected her from her relations and gave her a room at the hotel. It was then they informed her that she will be sleeping with men, collect certain amounts of money and make returns to them. They then set a target for the amount of money she will be paying as returns to them daily as such she had to worked till late in the night to meet the target.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that it was the condition under which the underaged victim and others were kept before information got to the police. The 25-year old Elizabeth Ita was arrested alongside the manager of the hotel, Thompson Emmanuel and both are cooling their heads behind bars.
They were charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for conspiracy and using the victims as prostitute in a hotel.
They pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.Sule-Amzat granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor, Mr Benson Emuehi did not object their bail condition.
The were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect the bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 5 July, 2018.
