Woman in Trouble For Catching Thief Who Stole Neighbour’s Generator

A housewife (name withheld) has landed in trouble after she caught a
suspected thief who allegedly stole their neighbour’s generator, and
handed over to the police.
The suspect Taiwo Waisu was alleged to have attacked her and
threatened to kill for daring to expose him which landed him in
trouble. The incident happened at Adewunmi Adenike Street in Isheri
Oshun area of Lagos where they reside.
The 31-year old Waisu reportedly went where the generator was kept and
stole it and was escaping before the woman called him and informed
him that she was inside the house and saw what he stole. However,
Waisu still went ahead and took the generator away. When the owner of
the generator returned and started looking for it, she told the owner
that it was Waisu that stole it.
The matter was reported to the police at Isheri Oshun division, Waisu
was arrested and taken to the Station. P.M.EXPRESS gathered at the
Station, he admitted but threatened to kill the woman who caught him
for exposong the theft.
The police then arraigned him before Isolo Magistrates court for
stealing and threatening to kill the witness. He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrates, Mr O.A.Ogbe granted him bail in the sum of
N50,000 with one surety in like sum. He was remanded in prison custody
pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was
adjourned till 27th of September, 2017.
