As football loving Nigerians look forward to the opening game in Group D of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup finals where the Super Eagles of Nigeria will lock horns against Croatia, a lot of Argentine fans believe both Argentina and Nigeria will qualify from the difficult group.

Daniel Di Giorgio, one of the Argentine fans said in an exclusive chat with PM EXPRESS in Moscow that the Super Eagles will beat Croatia,  and he expects the Nigerian team to come second behind Argentina to qualify from the group.

“Nigerian team is good. The group has  good teams, but your team will come second and Argentina will win the group. Croatia is good too, but I think that Nigeria will beat Croatia, ” Di Giorgio said smiling.

“Nigeria defeated Argentina 4-2 last year. Though it was a friendly game and we saw how dangerous Nigeria can be. Your team has good players and the attack is very dangerous. That’s why I think Nigeria will qualify from the group, he added.

He also said he cannot understand why Argentina always play against Nigeria in FIFA World Cup and the game has always been very difficult, adding that he will not expect nothing less than that when both sides file out to the pitch in the last group game on June 26.

“Argentina and Nigeria always play against each other in the World Cup. I don’t know why. Last time was in Brazil. Argentina and Nigeria in 2010. I also remember in 1994 and 2002. I don’t know why and it is always very difficult to play against Nigeria,” he said.
