Ahead of the October 7 World Cup qualifying cracker between the Super Eagles and Chipolopolo of Zambia, Bar. Seyi Akinwunmi , the 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF has said that the Super Eagles are unstoppable in Africa.
According to the Chairman of Lagos State F.A , there is no team in Africa that the Super Eagles cannot defeat on any day the players decides to play football and he is of the firm opinion that the Chipolopolo of Zambia will not pose a threat to the Super Eagles. He reckoned that the Eagles are unstoppable in Africa.
” The Super Eagles are unstoppable in Africa. Any day Nigerian players decides to play football , I mean the football with the Nigerian spirit , the Super Eagles are unstoppable. The team is capable of beating any other team in Africa. ” Bar. Akinwunmi said.
He added that : “Nigerians were really happy with the 4-0 defeat the Indomitable Lions got from the Super Eagles , but the last game is now history. I expect the players that will be invited for the game against Zambia to approach the game next month with the same attitude they displayed against Cameroon and I am sure that victory will be ours at the end of the 90mins”.
Nigeria is currently topping the group with 10 points , while Zambia is trailing behind in the second position with 7 points and a win for the Super Eagles will secure the ticket to the Russia 2018 World Cup with a game remaining to be played in November.
