Governor Oyetola of Osun State

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State has been described as a wasteful spender by the Osun State chapter of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC).

The party castigated the governor for embarking on the construction of a flyover at Olaiya area in Osogbo, the state capital, the flyover the ADC says is a white elephant project.

Speaking in Osogbo after an emergency state executive meeting of the party, Chairman of the party, Dr Charles Omidiji said that it is a misplaced priority for the All Progressive Congress (APC)-led party in Osun State to embark on a project which is politically expedient. This is a project which would further drain the lean purse of the government.

Dr Omidiji said Governor Oyetola and his party will be shown the way out of Bola Ige House during the 2022 governorship election because the governor’s abysmal failure in governing Osun State cannot be disputed.

Olaiya bridge which construction is currently ongoing

“Looking at the way Olaiya junction flyover was hurridly conceived and execution began despite the rejection by the good people of Osun state, Oyetola’s administration went ahead and spent billions of naira of Osun state on a project that should have not been a priority when pensioners have not been paid, agriculture which is the mainstay of our economy has been neglected and hungry, poverty and joblessness are in the life of the people.

“Though I am not surprised. What else do will expect from a governor and a party that rigged themselves to power in the 2018 election?

“Recent outburst of one of the chieftains of APC in the state, Rt. Honourable Lasun Yusuf is a confirmation of our claim that APC never won the 2018 governorship election. It was massively rigged. But we can assure the world that the next election coming in 2022 will be difficult for APC to rig in Osun State,” Dr Omidiji said.

  • Omidiji or how his name spelled is certainly blind to see, irredeemably deaf to hear and deaden to feel the development politics, policies, programmes and projects length, breath of Osun on the accounts of ingenuity of Governor Gboyega Oyetola schemed for the 2nd term in office by the One on whose shoulders Mr Governor, his government rests.
