A 37-year old man, Abayomi Johnson, who was arrested for allegedly sleeping with his 14-year old daughter for the past four years, has protested and reportedly told the Police in Lagos that they cannot tell him how to use his daughters’ private part.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Power line Street, Bale Bus Stop, Meiran area of Lagos, where they reside.

According to the residents and the victim, Mr. Abayomi, who got married to another wife, started sleeping with the girl when she was 10 and continued till this year when she was unable to bear it any longer.

She was said to have informed her step mother, who did nothing about it, instead she relocated her own daughter elsewhere to avoid being molested by her husband.

When the girl realised that help will not come from home, she looked for assistance from their neighbours in order to prevent her father from further abusing her.

It was gathered that the suspect, Abayomi, was married to the girl’s mother before they got separated and he started living with her. He was said to have sometimes drugged her in order to make her unconscious before he would engage her in sex over the years.

However, the suspect was arrested following a report to the DPO of Meiran Division, SP Shokunbi Toyosi, who ordered for his arrest and he escaped severally before he was eventually arrested.

He was detained at the Police Station for interrogation. Initially, he was threatening all around but later made confessional statement and pleaded for forgiveness.

The matter was said to have been transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for further investigation while the girl was taken by the Lagos State Government for rehabilitation and treatment.

The suspect, Abayomi, risks spending the rest of his life in prison custody if he is charged before the Court, tried and found guilty for the alleged offence.

  • Men like him are expected to spend the rest of their lives behind the bar.
And one should pray and wish the Victim the Courage to put the ugly past behind her. Wishing the State the very best in this endeavour.
There's no excuse for rape and child molestation as far as I am concerned.
NO to Rape and Child Molestation Now.
