The reelection bid of the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and PDP Senatorial Candidate for the zone, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, received massive boost yesterday as the people of Umuifite in Agulu, Anaocha LGA, pledged their support to their Senator.
The grassroots-friendly Senator, who received warm reception from the crowd, thanked the village for their support, stating that Umuifite Village has been a political stronghold for her. She noted that this is the time for the people of Agulu to pay back her good deed with equal measures and urged the people to vote according to scorecards.
The quintessential Lawmaker stated that she has facilitated 19 pensionable jobs for Agulu youths and stated that the contractor handling Umuowelle road has been mobilized to continue the second phase of the road and declared that the road will be completed before elections.
Speaking further, Ekwunife noted that Ndi Anambra Central needs to re-elect her to become a principal officer in the Senate, adding that Senate is about ranking and only a ranking Senator stands a chance to attract dividends of democracy.
Responding, the Chairman of Senator Uche Ekwunife Campaign and former President General of Agulu, Chief Edwin Uboh (Ichie Uboh) extolled the Senator for her objective representation, adding that the people of Umuifite Village and entire Agulu Community will vote PDP in the next elections.
Ichie Uboh reiterated that Ekwunife has done so much for the people of Agulu and next elections will be a payback time for her good services. He added that anyone who wants to campaign for their son (Peter obi) should travel to the Northern part of the country, where he needs aggressive campaigning, not in Agulu because they know who loves Peter Obi genuinely and those who insulted him in the past.
He stated that the fake love for Peter obi by some candidates will not stop them from intending defeat in next year’s elections. He noted that Ndi Agulu believed much on who worked for them, not those without a record of good services.
