The President of Igbo Youths in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, Chief Okechukwu Uzuegbunam, has fired Ezendigbo of Ibeji-Lekki, Eze Chris Offia and described him as a traitor and imposter working against Ndigbo in the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Uzuegbunam stated this over the recent claim by Eze Offia that he was the Chairman of Council of Ndieze in Lagos State as against Eze Chika Nwokedi, who was duly elected and inaugurated as Chairman of Council of Ndieze in Lagos State.
He explained that Eze Offia was once appointed as the Chairman of Council of Ndieze by Ohanaeze Ndigbo led Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene some years ago and his appointment had since expired.
He wondered why Eze Offia will be parading himself as Chairman of Council of Ndieze whereas he knows he had no such powers as he is aware that Eze Nwokedi was elected as the Chairman by all Ezes in Lagos State.
Chief Uzuegbunam stated that the Igbo Youths were aware of all the activities of Eze Offia as a traitor; on how he betrayed an embattled Eze Frederick Nwajiagu by disowning him publicly and claimed that he was not Ezendigbo despite Eze Nwajiagu being well known Ezendigbo of Ajao Estate.
He stated that the Igbo know very well that Eze Offia has been working against Ndigbo. And that his stock in trade over the years was to cause crisis for his  selfish interest. He explained that the Igbo Youths will not allow him to cause crises among the unity of Ndieze following the election of Eze Chika Nwokedi by making unguided comments.
“Eze Offia has no right to parade himself as the Chairman, Council of Ndieze any longer, especially now that Eze Chika Nwokedi has been elected as the authentic Chairman of the Igbo Council Of Ndieze. It is only Eze Nwokedi that can speak for Ndieze in Lagos State” he stated.
Chief Uzuegbunam commended the Council of Ndieze in Lagos State for their wisdom in electing Eze Nwokedi as their Chairman while stating that they have set the pace for progress not only for Ndieze but Ndigbo in Lagos State.
He noted that Eze Nwokedi has demonstrated over the years that he has capacity and had for for the interest of Ndigbo in Lagos State at heart.
He explained that Eze Nwokedi has touched many lives by embarking on so many projects to assist Ndigbo in Lagos through empowerment programmes and seeing to the welfare of the people. The recent rescue of Ndigbo in Ijegun and Ijedodo kingdoms speaks more about him as the King, who has capacity and leadership quality to take the Igbo to the next level while making peace among Ndigbo in the State.
He called on all the Igbo in Lagos State to give him support because he will meet up with the expectations of Ndigbo, who has hitherto been disappointed and dismayed by some shady characters parading themselves as Ezendigbo that had brought shame and disgrace to Ndigbo like Eze Chris Offia.
