A 35-year old lady identified as Gold Gift has been murdered after she was gang raped by two suspects who lured her into a popular hotel for sex romp and ended up killing her.
The incident happened in Onitsha metropolitan city, Anambra State.
The two suspects, one Okoronji Emeka, 24 and Umezinwa Val, 24, have been arrested and detained at the Homicide Department of the Anambra Police Command in connection with the brutal murder.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that this was disclosed by the Anambra State PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.
Mohammed explained that on 17th December, 2018, at about 4pm following intelligence report, Police detectives attached to Central Police Station Onitsha arrested Okoronji Emeka of No. 16 Park Lane and Umezinwa Val of No. 110 Agulu Avenue Nkpor Agu respectively.
He said that the suspects had on 5th December, 2018, lured one Gold Gift, 35, into a hotel and killed her after having unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim. The police did not give details of the full identity of the victim and what really transpired before the dastardly act was exposed.
However, the police said that the preliminary investigation further revealed that the victim was later taken by the hotel staff and dumped at DMGS roundabout Onitsha without informing the Police.
Consequently, three of the hotel staff including the manager, one Mr. Ekene Gabriel, 30, the bar man ,one Tom Bishop Emmanuel, 25 and the gate man, one Arume Ifeanyi Godwin, 27, were also arrested.
The case is still under investigation after which the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution over the murder.
