A 25-year old man, Mr. Peter Agbo has landed in trouble in Lagos after he lured and engaged his neighbour’s 12-year old daughter in a sex romp.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ugbeajoaki Street in Mende, Maryland Lagos where they resided.
It was gathered that the suspect returned from work in the evening when the victim’s parents were not around and lured her into his apartment under the false pretence of sending her on an errand. However, it turned out that Agbo had another motive which the innocent victim did not know.
The suspect was said to have locked his door from inside when the victim entered his room, warned her not to raise alarm and made promises to her. He reportedly removed her pant, pushed her to his bed, penetrated her forcefully and thereafter allowed her to go. It was learnt that the victim experienced bleeding as a result of the forceful penetration and she informed her parents about what happened.
The matter was reported to the police, Agbo was arrested and taken to the police station. During interrogation, it was learnt that Agbo admitted penetrating her but claimed that he did not force her. The police found him culpable because of the age of the victim.
Peter Agbo was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for defilement.
He pleaded not guilty to the one count charge.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka granted Agbo bail in the sum of N300,00 with two sureties who must show evidence of tax payment.
The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John did not object to his bail condition because it was a bailable offence.
The suspect was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 9 May, 2018.
