The Anambra State Commissioner for Road, Rail and Water Transportation, Sir Uchenna Okafor Wiper in company of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Anene Ezeogu, paid a working tour of facilities at the Anambra State Computerised Vehicle Testing Service base located in Awka.
The Managing Director of ANCVTS, Mr. Shegun Obayindu was on hand to receive the Commissioner and his team. Mr. Obayindu led the commissioner through all the workings of personnel and machines in the facility. From reg point, to certification, ICT room to light testing machine, brake testing machines and others. The MD informed the Commissioner that the facility was commissioned on 8th June, 2017 with the mandate of ensuring that worthy vehicles ply Anambra roads.
On his part, the Honourable Commissioner applauded the management of ANCVTS but decried why interests would not allow such a world class facility to fully function. He stressed that if the State can get it right there, it can extend such gestures to other major cities in the state.
In his words “we will partner with the agency in ensuring safer Anambra roads which will in turn improve the living standard of Ndi Anambra”
“We can ensure a cleaner and healthier Anambra by making sure our vehicles are in order. Visit the ANCVTS today and get your vehicles fixed”.
