3 Armed Robbers Arrested For R*ping Housewife, 20, During Operation

Police operatives have arrested three armed robbers, Abubakar Isah, Umar lbrahim, Umar Nasara and one other suspect for alleged robbery and rape of a 20-year old housewife during an operation in Jigawa State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Chori Village, Ringim LGA of the State, where the victim resides with her husband.
This was disclosed by the  Commissioner of Police, CP A.T Abdullahi, who confirmed their arrest and stated further that the suspect was arrested alongside two members of his gang.
The Police boss stated:
“The suspected armed robber has been arrested by the Jigawa State Police Command for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 20-year-old housewife in Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State following a report at Ringim Division”.
According to the CP, the suspected robbers, Abubakar Isah, Umar lbrahim, and Umar Nasara, armed with cutlasses, invaded the home of one Mudan lbrahim, robbed him of five bags of pepper and afterwards, one of them raped his wife.
“On 17/03/2024 at about 0700hrs, one Mudan lbrahim ‘m’ of Chori Village Ringim LGA, reported at Ringim Division that on the same date at about 0200hrs, three unknown persons armed with cutlasses, trespassed into his house, attacked and robbed him of five Bags of pepper, later one of the robbers raped his wife one Ummi Garba ‘f’ age 20yrs of the same Address,” the CP stated.
“Upon receipt of the report, detectives attached to Ringim Division swung into action where one Abubakar Isah ‘m’ age 25years, Umar lbrahim ‘m’ 25yrs and Umar Nasara ‘m’ 30yrs all of Chori village, Ringim LGA were arrested in connection with the case.”
“On interrogation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the crime and were immediately transferred to SCID at Dutse for discreet investigation. Suspects will be arraigned on completion of investigations.”
The suspects risk several years of imprisonment for the alleged conspiracy, armed robbery and statutory rape under the Criminal Laws of the State but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
