The Lagos State Chapter of Sports Writers Association (SWAN) has dissociated itself from a purported deal signed by one Adebowale Oshundun on behalf of the association with Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State and White Collar Football League (WCFL).

The Lagos SWAN in a press statement alerted the Nigerian public that Oshundun is an impostor and did not have the mandate of the executive of the association to transaction any deal with anybody.

According to the statement, the association being currently led by an elected Chairman, Olatutu Oladunni, has directed its lawyer to write a criminal petition to relevant law enforcement agencies in Lagos State to launch a criminal investigation into what it described as illegal deal Oshundun has entered with unsuspecting organisations in the state.

The statement reads: “The attention of the Chairman SWAN Lagos State chapter, Olatutu Oladunni and members of the Lagos state EXCO has been drawn to a purported statement issued by one Mr. Adebowale Oshundun an impostor, purportedly and falsely claiming to have signed “a One year Grassroots Football Development deal with Ajeromi Ifelodun LCDA, WCFL on behalf of SWAN Lagos chapter” and states that the SWAN,LAGOS STATE CHAPTER vehemently disclaims the alleged deal pact and dissociates itself entirely from the charade deal.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Current SWAN Exco under the chairmanship of OLATUTU OLADUNNI, AARON AKEREJOLA (VICE CHAIR) AND OMOTUNDE BELLO (SECRETARY) was elected into office for a 3 year term in October 2022 having won their respective elections into office and that SWAN Lagos chapter is not aware of any deal pact and has not signed any deal pact with Ajeromi Ifelodun LCDA and WCFL on Grassroots football development.

“While, the SWAN Exco Lagos chapter is taking immediate steps to launch a criminal investigation against the said impostor Adebowale Oshundun& his cohots, a formal criminal petition has been forwarded to the law enforcement agencies to launch criminal investigation into the sham deal and bring the culprits to justice. The General Public is advised to discountenance the purported charade deal with Ajeromi Ifelodun LCDA & WFCL and “CEASE AND DESIST” any dealings with the said impostor Adebowale Oshundun and the charade deal pact.”
