Nemesis may have caught up with a 45-year old man, Mr Udoh Moses who  raped his 15-year daughter and she insisted that he must be prosecuted for deflowering her in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports, the daughter(name withheld) went to the police at Isokoko Division and reported her trauma and insisted that she needed justice for her to have peace.

The alleged rape took place at Osundiya Street at Meiran area of Lagos where they resided before she was raped.

The embittered daughter alleged that her father grabbed her in their house, forcefully inserted his joystick into her private part and in the process she lost her virginity. She narrated that after the incident, he continued and she then became restless and emotional troubled.

It was gathered that she knew that it was an abomination for her father to have slept with her but she was helpless because she was under his care. Since that incident took place she was no longer herself, had lost confidence and needed him to be prosecuted.

Thus, the police arrested her father who reportedly accepted to have tried such in the past and wanted forgiveness from her daughter.
However, the police charged him before a Lagos court for rape and defilement.

The Akwa Ibom State-born Moses pleaded not guilty before the presiding Chief Magistrate, Mrs. F.O. Davis Abegunde.
The prosecutor, Inspector Raphael Donny did not object to his bail and asked the court to grant him bail in such condition that will enable him to come to court for trial in the interest of justice.

The court granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
However, Moses was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Moses may spend much longer years in prison because none of their relations who heard what happened wanted to associate with him to bail him.
It was also gathered that it was an abomination in their community and there were certain rituals Moses will have to perform if he was freed before he can associate with his people.

The matter was adjourned because the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Davis had just  retired from the service and another magistrate was expected to take up the matter for trial.
