No fewer than 5,000 Nigerians were beneficiaries of Anthony Joshua, a Nigerian British – born boxer, who extended his hands of help to communities back home in Nigeria.
The champion recently donated food items to over 5, 000 people through his foundation, the Clean Hearts, headed by her sister Janet Joshua.
AJ, as Anthony Joshua fondly called, has never shield away from claiming he hails from the West African nation and has taken a step further by donating to the needy in Makoko area in Lagos State and Shagamu, Ogun State.
The project is coming ahead of Joshua’s upcoming bout, as he is preparing for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk which is set to take place on 23 July.
This all-important bout is set to be one of the highlights of the year on the boxing calendar.
Joshua is a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, having held the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles twice between 2016 and 2021. At regional level, he held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016.
