One of Africa’s leading financial institutions, Access Bank Plc. recently partnered with the Lagos State Government in the pilot phase of its Ready.Set.Work initiative to train 500 undergraduates from three tertiary institutions in Lagos.
The internship programme is aimed at adequately equipping the students with the required skill-set to excel in the corporate and entrepreneurial world.
Since the programme commenced on June 21, 2016, Access Bank has trained 21 students from Lagos State College of Health, Lagos State Polytechnic and Lagos State University.
The inaugural set of students completed their 6-month internship program on May 19, 2017.
According to the Youth Segment Manager of the bank, Ms. Edinyanga Enang, “Access Bank is happy to receive these trained graduates particularly because the Ready.Set.Work programme ties into our commitment to youth development, which informed the decision to partner with Lagos State on this project.”
