The vision of Pastor Benson Faith Ugochukwu to secure a space that can contain his members in Lagos, has temporarily hit the rock after he was swindled of about N2m by an agent who bolted with the money.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the agent, Yakubu Adejumo, 52, allegedly collected the said amount of money and told Pastor Ugochukwu that he had no warehouse to rent out but only obtained the money to solve his personal problems.
The incident happened at Okiki Street in Ago, Okota area of Lagos where he reportedly showed him a warehouse belonging to another person.
When the victim, Pastor Ugochukwu, eventually went there to take possession and set things up, he discovered that the agent had nothing in connection with the warehouse and the owner never indicated he wants to rent it out. It then dawned on him that he had been duped and he searched for Adejumo to collect his money to no avail.

The matter was reported to the police and they swung into action. The suspect was trailed, eventually arrested and taken to the Ago Police Division.
During interrogation, he admitted that he collected the said money from the pastor, had spent it and will not be able to raise another to pay him back. The Police found him culpable and was later charged before the Isolo Magistrates Court for obtaining under false pretense and stealing.

He pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Mr. Oje Uagbale, asked the Court to give a date for hearing for the police to prove the case since he had pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Teluwo, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till 22nd June, 2019.
