Nigerian International and the eighth best scorer at the Russia 2018 World Cup, Ahmed Musa, has secured his transfer from Leicester City to Al-Nassr, the Saudi Arabian club said.

After struggling to make an impact in Claude Puel’s set-up, the Nigeria international has sought greener pasture in the Saudi Professional League.

The Super Eagles forward, Musa, 25, was the Leicester city’s record signing when he moved to the King Power for £16.6million in 2016, but failed to hold down a place and was loaned back to his old club CSKA Moscow for part of last season.

Musa managed four goals in 33 matches across two seasons for the Foxes before he returned to the Russian Premier League on loan for the second half of the 2017-18 campaign.

During his brief stint with the Red-Blues, the Super Eagles forward was in blistering form in front of goal with six goals in 10 league games.

He scored twice at the World Cup, with both goals coming against Iceland in the Group D clash. Al-Nassr said he had signed a four-year contract but did not disclose the transfer fee but thought to be £25m plus. Al Nassr had earlier announced the signing of the international Moroccan football player Noureddine Lamrabet who played at the English Premier League for Watford.
