Andy Ụba’s Case Should Be About “Debt Recovery” Not Election Petition

If the story I read about Dr Godwin Maduka is true, then I can simply pass him for a circumspect person. There is no doubt that the coffin seller is never always a true mourner, for him it is business made possible by another’s misfortune. This is exactly what some Lawyers represent in their chase for justice.

To many of them Lawyers, it is never really about what is fair and just, neither is it about public good. No! To them it is business made possible by indiscretion, desperation, and ambition. Theirs is to ignite you to self-imolation while they savour the juices from your hapless bounty.

Andy Uba is currently on their grill. They are making a mince meat off his bravado. A man who, prior to the election, boasted of collapsing every other party; prided in emptying all political stakeholders into his own faction of a Party that is justifiably pushing his candidature to the gallows.

What Andy needs now is a strong litigation on debt recovery, not this aimless stroll into the election petition tribunal. His actual problem is his inability to imagine that in spite of huge resources expended on acquiring these “political stakeholders”, not even one of his new acquisition could as much deliver a single electoral Ward to him.

Andy Uba deserves some explanation for this, and only a good debt recovery Lawyer can help him recoup a fraction of his spending from these hawks with overbloated ego. Fortunately, the Woman of Ukwulu is a testament to the fact that the voting Anambra public are not with Andy’s resources. They actually _”rejected the Devil and all his appurtenances”_.

Andy’s current quest is misplaced, and he may get to know this a little too late.
