Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State has suspended indefinitely the Assistant Publicity Secretary, Mr. Uzoma Okolo, for gross false information and misconduct over his alleged statement that Igbo Day Celebration slated for 12th December, 2021, may be a scam.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that this was the resolution of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Executive and Chairmen of of Ohanaeze in the entire 20 Local Government areas and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State.

In a statement, Ohanaeze stated that Uzoma Okolo is not the Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze and cannot speak for or on behalf of the organization when the Publicity Secretary is on duty.

It therefore, dismissed in totality all the statements he made on the social media maligning the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Igbo Day Celebration and called the public to disregard his statement and claims as that of a drowning man, who does not want any progress for the Igbo in Lagos.

It reiterated that Ohanaeze, which is led by Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, can never be a scam and had done remarkable things to uplift the interest of the Igbo in Lagos State and urged the public to disregard Uzoma Okolo over his mischievous conduct against the Igbo in Lagos State.

This was confirmed by the President of Ohanaeze, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, who described the conduct of Okolo as anti-Igbo. He explained that the decision to suspend him indefinitely was reached on the expanded Executive meeting with the Chairmen and resolved that Igbo will have no dealing with Okolo for his conduct.

He stated the Igbo Day Celebration was agreed with the Lagos State Governor, who gave the date and every plans has been made including prominent personalities that will come from all walks of life but the mischievous Okoro went on social media alleging it was a possible scam.
