Armed Robbers Invade Oluremi Tinubu Ultra-Modern Market, Cart Away  Assorted Laptops Worth Over N230m

Daredevil armed robbers have invaded Oluremi Tinubu Ultra-Modern Market, Ijeshatedo, Lagos, carted away assorted laptops worth over N230m and escaped.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 20th October, 2025, at the market.
The matter was reported to the Commissioner of Police Special Squad. The operatives moved into action, eventually arrested four suspects namely Kayode Lawal, 69, Jamiu Ibrahim, 35, Olaniyi Arowolo ,35 and Sunday Ajibade, 32.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found them culpable and consequently charged them before the Magistrate Court.
The charges read :
“That you, Kayode Lawal ‘m’, Jamiu Ibrahim ‘m’, Olaniyi Arowolo ‘m’, Sunday Ajibade ‘m’ and others now at large, on the 20th day of October, 2025, at about 0230hrs, at Oluremi Tinubu Ultra-Modern Market, Ijeshatedo Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit: Armed robbery and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 299 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Kayode Lawal ‘m’, Jamiu Ibrahim ‘m’, Olaniyi Arowolo ‘m’, Sunday Ajibade ‘m’ and others still at large, in the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did rob four (4) HP laptop computer, six (6) Dell laptop computers, six (6) Lenovo laptop computers, Eight (8) Acer laptop computers, twelve (12) Microsoft laptop computers, six (6) tablet laptop computers, accessories of different types OCW inverter batteries and Bluetooth, total valued Two hundred million Naira (N200,000,000.00), property of one Udechukwu Benneth m’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 296 and punishable under Section 297(1)(2)(a) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT III:”That you, Kayode Lawal ‘m’, Jamiu Ibrahim ‘m’, Olaniyi Arowolo ‘m’, Sunday Ajibade ‘m’ and others now at large, on the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did rob HP Elite book laptop computers, HP Z book laptop computers, Lenovo Laptop computers, Dell laptop computers, HP Omen Laptop computers, Dell Inspron Laptop computers, HP Dragon fly Laptop computer, one iphone 11, one iphone 12 and other items, total valued Three hundred million Naira (N300,000.00), property of one Mgbeadichie Chikanso ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to the criminal law of the State. “
They were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, following a motion moved by the prosecutor,  Supol Phillip Ademigbuji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Court ordered their remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
