The administration of Senator Prof. Ben Ayade is all out to ensure that Cross Riverians and other Nigerians connected to the Cross River State Water Board Limited (CRSWBL) water lines are consistently served with clean potable quality water.
The Managing Director of the Water Board, Barr. Ekpo Ada Asuquo, who disclosed this on Thursday while on inspection and rectifying of broken pipes and several leakages along Ikot Ishie axis of Calabar Municipality, alongside his General Manager of Calabar station, water engineers and technicians.
The MD further disclosed that CRSWBL under his watch will work to ensure that the desire of Governor Ben Ayade leadership to provide the people of the state in other towns linked to Water Board lines and residents of Calabar in particular with constant quality water at an affordable rate.
He also explained that the purpose of their outing was to identify, rectify and correct faults that have left Ikot Ishie and the environs without access to potable and clean water for the past three years.
Barr. Asuquo said that the administration of Senator Prof. Ben Ayade will continue to keep to its promises including that of restoring clean water to the people which has already been fulfilled.
After the fixing of the faults by the MD of Water Board and his team, the people of the area took to the street applauding Gov Ayade, the MD and his team for restoring not just water but very clean and quality water to them, while calling for the sustenance of the water supply as well as its quality.
