The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has reaffirmed his administration’s strong commitment to quality education and youth development through the 2026 Back-to-School Programme.
At the well-attended event, the Council distributed 3,850 school uniforms to pupils in public primary schools, alongside over 2,000 school bags to further ease the burden on parents and guardians. The initiative builds on an earlier phase that catered to pupils in Primary 4 to 6 and forms a critical part of the administration’s HEYSRELOADED AGENDA, aimed at strengthening human capital development and expanding access to quality learning.
Hon. Odunmbaku highlighted other transformative interventions, including the provision of JAMB and GCE forms to indigent students, bursary awards, free examination coaching, digital skills training for thousands of pupils in conjunction with TCK, classroom renovations, supply of desks and learning materials, ICT centre upgrades, and teacher empowerment programmes.
In a moment of pride for the Council, Mrs. Adeola Olufunke Akinsulure of Omole Senior Grammar School, a Top 10 Finalist in the 2026 Global Teacher Prize, was honored with a N500,000 cheque in recognition of her outstanding achievement.
Stakeholders present commended the Chairman’s sustained investment in building a stronger and more inclusive educational system in Ojodu LCDA.
