The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Osun West Senatorial District, Mr. Amobi Akintola, has said Senator Isiaka Adeleke, did not eat any food at the burial of his grandmother, Late Bilikisu Salimonu, on April 22.

Akintola said this on Monday while giving evidence before a coroner ordered by Governor Rauf Aregbesola to probe the cause of Adeleke’s death.

He said the late Senator attended the burial ceremony in company with about 30 political aides and allies.

He said those, who came with Adeleke ate but their principal did not eat the food they were served.

The witness told the coroner that he served Adeleke, Remy Martin (Cognac), but the senator brought his own Remy Martin from his vehicle which he drank together with his friends.

The Chief Medical Director of Biket Hospital, Osogbo, Dr. Adebisi Adenle, also said Adeleke was brought to his hospital dead on April 23.

He said he was brought to his hospital around 10:15am and he pronounced him dead.

Adenle told the coroner that he asked the family to take the corpse to LAUTECH Teaching Hospital morgue because his hospital did not have mortuary.
