A 59-year old woman, Mrs Omolara Adigun has landed in trouble after she reportedly attacked her neighbour, Ayoade Ige With a nail- stick which badly damaged his right eye during squabble.
The incident happened at 14 Showunmi Street in Mushin Lagos where they reside.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Adigu was arrested and charged before a Lagos court and was remanded in prison custody.
The victim, P.M.EXPRESS gathered suffered his fate after he had disagreement with the suspect who was his close neighbour.
During the argument, Adigun in anger took a stick and hit him,unknown to her, there was a nail in the stick which pierced into Ige’s eye and damaged it.
He was bleeding profusely and was taken to a Hospital but the doctors said the eye was badly damaged as such cannot be treated and restored back.
The suspect was arrested and charged before Ogba Magistrates court with conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and assault under the Criminal Code.
She pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr M.K.O. Fadeyi granted her bail in the sum of N100.000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was further adjourned till 27 June 2017. when our correspondent contacted Adigun, she said she was still surprised to what happened because she never meant to cause him such injury. “i know the devil is at work, this is a matter that we should have settled amicably in the compound and it has gotten to this level which i regret.”
she said she would do everything possible to ensure that both family come together and resolve the matter and bring it out of court for peaceful settlement.
The victim in the other hand, said he was still shocked on how he turned one eye man over nothing.
