Buruj Sports Academy’s management are already looking forward to engaging the young players in high profile tournaments this year. The already established players who participated in previous outings and those who are going to register afresh will be given equal opportunity to prove their mettle and make the cut.
The Ikorodu-based academy won two titles at the English Super Cup held in Manchester, United Kingdom, last year and they are expected to defend their titles this year.
Other competitions where the Buruj Boys will feature include the Manchester Cup, the Spanish Super Cup, the Welsh Super Cup, the English Super Cup and London Cup amongst others and the CEO Salaudeen Waheed has vowed to raise a squad that will win more laurels this year packed with exciting talents that can play their way to professional contracts.
About eight more players are being expected to register to complete the full squad and the players in camp are already training very hard to be in top shape.
The management is determined to complete the process of registration and procurement of traveling papers in a record time to avoid any hitches while well-meaning Nigerians are being implored to come forward and assist some of the boys who are naturally gifted but need someone to sponsor them for any of the trips.
Interested members of the public are also admonished to direct all their enquiries to the Head Office of the academy at No. 8, Adeniran Oshodi Street, Ogolonto Bus Stop, Ikorodu, Lagos.
