Sanwo-Olu Disability Support Group Donates Souvenirs To BOS ICG Ojodu LCDA

As a way to demonstrate support for the APC Governorship candidate of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates, the Sanwo-olu Disability Support Group (SDSD) paid a courtesy visit to the Secretariat of BOS ICG, Ojodu LCDA. 

 

The leader of the group, Dr. Adebukola Adebayo, a World Bank consultant and a grassroots politician, noted that charity is not all about giving alms to persons living with disabilities as many Nigerians believed that the only and best way to show love and support to people with disabilities is by giving them alms but Dr. Adebayo believed that such insinuations must be changed as his group is out to create opportunities for the disabled to make a living and by extension make positive impact to their various communities.

In his speech, Dr. Adebayo stated that they wished to use the ICG Ojodu LCDA platform to show their appreciation for the APC government in Lagos State who had over the years for giving a strong support to the group especially in facilitating their programmes. Therefore, the SDSD as a group promised to deliver 200,000 votes for the governorship candidate of the APC in Lagos State.

 

The Coordinator, BOS ICG Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Michael Akindele, in his remark thanked the group with great appreciation. He further noted that there is ability in disability and promised to work with the group in the areas of mobilization of voters for the victory of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Lagos State Governor come March 2019.

The convener of the courtesy visit was automatically adopted into the ICG committee since he also resided in Ojodu LCDA where members of his team could easily be accessed and carried along. Other local government BOS ICG Coordinators would be happy to hear that  BOS ICG Ojodu LCDA is collaborating with members of SDSD to win elections come 2019. The SDSD team also donated t-shirts in two categories to the ICG Ojodu LCDA as part of their support for the ICG group in a bid to deliver Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu with 100% votes.
