Nigerian attacker, Quadr Ayomide Garuba, has officially joined Spanish side CF Berja, arriving from Lithuanian outfit, Saned FK, on Tuesday.
Garuba, a product of Buruj FC, becomes the latest addition to CF Berja’s growing Nigerian contingent, linking up with fellow countryman, Samson Ubong.
Ubong enjoyed an impressive campaign with Motril CF in the Spanish Andalusia II Lyga, where he scored 24 goals and registered 14 assists in just 30 appearances.
Garuba rose to prominence after a breakout performance in the 2024 Nationwide League One (NLO), Nigeria’s third-tier league.
He made an immediate impact on his debut, scoring just seven minutes into the match for Buruj FC.
Earlier this year, he secured a move to Lithuania’s Saned FK as part of Buruj FC’s talent export programme. His switch to CF Berja now reunites him with Ubong, rekindling a partnership that dates back to their days together in Lagos.
The left winger is expected to settle quickly into the team, with Ubong providing both mentorship and familiarity as Garuba begins his journey in Spanish football.
With both players now in CF Berja colours, the duo is poised to bring Nigerian flair and energy to the Andalusian club’s attacking front.
