Buruj To Open Welsh Super Cup Account Vs St. Joseph On Thursday

This year’s edition of Welsh International Super Cup will kick off on Thursday and Buruj Sports Academy have been drawn against the likes of St. Joseph FC, Cardiff Draconian and Pentwyn Dynamos in Group B of the youth category of the tournament.

After ending up as the first runners-up in the concluded English Super Cup in Manchester, the Buruj contingent arrived in Cardiff on Monday evening and has settled down at the Liberty Living Apartment close to the venue of the event.

The team will play their first group game on Thursday against St. Joseph by 1.25pm before they will square up against Cardiff Draconians commencing from 3.35. The last group game will hold on Friday against Pentwyn Dynamos with kick off time fixed for 10.15am.

While reacting on the fixtures released by the organisers, Team Tours Direct, the CEO of the academy, who is also the leader of the delegation, Salaudeen Waheed, disclosed that his boys have put the loss of the final game in the English Super Cup behind them and are poised to go all the way in the Welsh Super Cup.
He said all the noticeable lapses in the previous games have been taken care of and promised that the boys will make the country proud. He also thanked some distinguished individuals, who have been supporting the team all the way from Nigeria, adding that their boys are set to win the Welsh Super Cup for the first time after winning English Super Cup on a couple of occasions.
