The President General of the Igbo Speaking Community, Chief Sunday Udeh, was said to have placed curses on some Executive members of the community for exposing the issue of signatories to their bank account to the media.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that apart from placing the curses on them, Chief Sunday Udeh declared that the cursea will follow them to their respective families.

Udeh stated that the only thing that will mitigate the effect of the curses is if those involved confess to him and recant their involvement in the leakage of the information to the media.

The bone of contention was that Chief Sunday Udeh and his Deputy on Special duty, Mr. Chucks Odimegwu, were alleged to have sidelined the financial secretary and treasurer on the issue of signatories to the community’s bank account.

The matter was said to have been discussed in their last meeting and Chief Udeh walked out claiming that he was going for a wake programme.

But Chief Udeh confirmed the reports and admitted that there is indeed a community bank account bearing his signature and that of his Deputy, Chucks Odimegwu.

However, he explained that he had no time to effect the change of the signatures to reflect financial secretary and treasurer six months after their inauguration.

Chief Udeh told the Executives on voice notes trending on the social media that any executive member whose hand was in the leakage of the information is now under a curse with their family and can only come out of it if such person confessed.

He said he was not bothered to effect change of signatories because he has a capable hand in the Finance department of the Executives.

He explained that the community’s money is in the care of the treasurer’s private account and if there’s any expenses to be made, he will give directives to the treasurer to pay the money from his private account.

Udeh explained that after their inauguration, he had been running the expenses of the Igbo Speaking Community from his personal money including paying for the rent at the Igbo Speaking Community headquarters at Surulere, which was said to be false.

P.M.EXPRESS findings revealed that the Igbo Speaking Community headquarters was donated freely over the years and the only money spent in the place was for cleansing after every meeting.

What has been agitating the minds of some of the executives and members of Igbo Speaking Community after the leakage of the voice notes is that the community’s money is in a private account as affirmed by Chief Udeh.

Another concern is that Chief Udeh was not ready to render account of the money he realized four years ago as factional president when he allegedly crowned numerous Ezendigbo and Obi Ndigbo in Lagos State and reportedly collected huge sums of money.

Some of the aggrieved members of executives are considering making formal report to the BOT, which is the custodian of the community over the alleged threat and highhandedness of Chief Udeh which may led to another crisis in the community.
