CLO made the statement in a press release issued to news men jointly endorsed by Comrades Vincent Ezekwueme and Chidi Mbah Chairman and Secretary respectively, tagged Save Our Souls appeal to Buhari and Obiano to declare state of emergency on both Federal and State roads in Anambra State.

“It is painful to note that failed Onitsha-Owerri, 3-3 Otuocha, Nnewi-Uga-Okigwe, Onitsha-Awkuzu -Awka Federal roads and 3-3 Nsugbe, Haruna -Niger Street, Ziks Avenue, Ochanja, Ugwuakwu-Ibughubu -Umuchu, Nnobi –Awka-Etiti state roads have inflicted sorrow, pains, hardship and sufferings to commuters and citizenry.”

“CLO is of the opinion that Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola and Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Marcel Ikejiofor, should as a matter of urgency and immediacy for public interest, visit the roads for on the spot assessment of the pitiable condition of dilapidated roads to enable them commence immediate palliative works to saves lives, properties, times wasted on daily basis, which could be avoided or minimized if the roads are fixed.”

“Governments should do the needful by giving the people of the state sense of belongings which is the essence of every government” CLO concluded.
