Africa Magic’s new game show, Come Play Naija kicked off on Thursday on Africa Magic Showcase, Urban, and Family to the delight of participants and home viewers.

The first episode of the show was definitely worth watching! It kept viewers at the edge of their seats due to ‘close call’ moments when cheering for their favourite team to win. Also, the games really tested the contestants’ mental, physical and teamwork skills, which was fun to watch.

Game host, Hero Daniels, introduced the five segments to be played and prize money attached to them starting with the Trivia questions worth 200,000 Naira each (10,000 Naira per question), Obstacle course 1 worth 400,000 Naira, Obstacle course 2 worth 700,000 Naira, Obstacle course 3 A.K.A Military course worth 1.5 million Naira and Spin the Wheel where participants walked away with what they spined.

The show featured a series of competitive bouts between two teams. The teams were chosen based on a ‘lucky dip’ which saw the contestants blindly pick a green or yellow colour. ‘Green Team’; 27-year-old Bankole John, 30-year-old Yomi Moses Bamidele, 33-year-old Zara Dike and 24-year-old Fadipe Olaitan) and ‘Yellow Team’; 20-year-old Goodness Emeka, 23-year-old Victory Johnson, 25-year-old Lee Ibe and 45-year-old Jimmy Rowland.

Green Team put up an impressive display throughout the episode and outperformed Yellow Team in all aspects of the game.

The Green Team bagged a cash prize of 2,860,000 million Naira while the Yellow Team won the sum of 35,000 Naira.

Don’t miss out on the excitement and fun.  Tune in on Thursdays and Fridays from 9pm and Saturdays from 7pm on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151), Africa Magic Urban (DStv channel 153 & GOtv SUPA channel 6) and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 & GOtv channel 2).
