IZUCHUKWU ADICHIE
There is an amazing atmosphere surrounding Soludo wherever he goes in Anambra. The streets, markets, schools, and churches are always filled with ndi Anambra celebrating his presence with joy. It has become a wonderful tradition for our people to break into dance and song whenever they hear his name or catch a glimpse of him.
Yesterday, when Soludo was on his way to Anambra Polytechnic for a one-day visit, the whole town of Isuaniocha and Mgbakwu, including school children, poured onto the streets to give their most compassionate governor a warm and enthusiastic welcome. In a country where political leaders typically stay ensconced in their luxury cars surrounded by tight security and protocols, and merely wave to the people, Soludo stands out by actively joining in the dances and greetings.
It is on record that Soludo’s administration is the one that has made significant contributions to the people of Awka North local area, addressing their needs and bringing joy to their faces by successfully rescuing the Awgba Ofemili – Ugbene – Ugbenu – Ebenebe – Amansea communities with the speedy delivery of the 26km Road project, a road that has caused heart-wrenching experience for the people of the area, who are majorly farmers.
Amongst other things, Soludo is connecting Awka North with Awka South with the ongoing construction of Unizik Temsite -Okpuno -Isuaniocha dual carriage Road (6.027km), and Nawgu – Isuaniocha road and ongoing construction of the 10.26km Ukpo/Nawgu – Isuaniocha- Achalla road. Truly, this is the people’s governor.
