DIG Yakubu Jibril To Supervise SouthWest States During Election

The DIG is assigned to supervise Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun and Lagos, while he will be making Ogun State his operational headquarters.

According to the report made available to P.M.EXPRESS by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the step taken was in view of the peculiar security situation in respect of the Gubernatorial/State House of Assembly elections in Ogun State.

Following the Ag. IGP Muhammed Adamu’s directive, all Assistant Inspectors General of Police, AIGs, deployed to each state in the region will take necessary directives from the Operational base in Ogun State for effective policing of the polls.
