Dr. Habiba Lawal Takes Over As Acting SGF

The Permanent Secretary, Ecological Funds Office (EFO) in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Dr. Habiba Muda Lawal, has taken over as the acting Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

This follows Wednesday’s suspension of the SGF Babachir David Lawal by President Muhammadu Buhari over allegation of corruption against Babachir in contract awards in the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE).

The Director of Press at the OSGF, Bolaji Adebiyi, confirmed the development to Daily Trust on Thursday.
An indigene of Bauchi State and former commissioner in the state, Lawal holds both the B.Sc and Masters from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, and PhD from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi.
