Two young men, Solomon Stephen,19 and Daniel Edith, 24 have been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault and attempted rape of a 30-year old drunk married woman.
The incident happened at Karounwi Street Ilasamaja in Lagos where they reside.
They were charged before Isolo Magistrates court and were remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri, Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the victim was heavily drunk and the suspects exploited the opportunity and enjoyed her private from that evening till 5 am before she regained consciousness.
It was gathered from police source that the suspects reportedly dragged her to a room in the same compound and had carnal knowledge her in turns.
When the victim woke up in the morning and saw her private had sperm, she suspected that it was the suspects that molested her sexually.
She went to Itire Police Division and reported that she was sexually molested and raped by the suspects.
The police arrested the suspects and detained them at the station where they denied that they raped her.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the victim demanded for N15,000 from the suspects and when they were unable to produce it, so the police charged them to court for the alleged offence.
They pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A.O.Ogbe granted them bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in the like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 4 August 2017.
