The advance team from the Federal Government of Nigeria has commenced the installation of shoe making machines and other equipment shipped to the state from Turkey, Italy and others by the Government of Nigeria.
The award winning Managing Director of Anambra State Small Business Agency, Chief Clement Chukwuka, as well as I-Witness personnel were at Ogbunike by Nkwelle Ezunaka junction, the facility location, during the arrival and off-loading of the containers loaded with sophisticated shoe making equipment preparatory to the May 28, 2021 commissioning date of the one-stop-centre by the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
Speaking briefly after the exercise, the MD/CEO of ASBA, Chief Chukwuka, said the equipment will aid the shoe manufacturers to produce quality products and grant them access to sophisticated equipment which ordinarily may be hard to come by.
He stated that other installations like power, water and others are ongoing at the centre and expressed his optimism that they will be completed in few days time before the commissioning date.
