Former Nigerian youth international Akeem Agbetu has finally dumped football for oil and gas business.
Akeem who last played for French Ligue 2 side, Le Havre said that he is happy to invest into the oil and gas business.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that the oil firm is called Fanfaro Oil and its services are available nationwide.
Agbetu played for FC Midylland, Kolding FC (Both in Denmark), Kocaelispor, Sivasspor, Samsunspor, Karsiyaka, Boluspor and Tavsanli Linyitspor (all in Turkey).
He played for Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada in 2007 alongside the likes of Brown Ideye, Elderson Echiejile and Efe Ambrose.
“Football is not for long , that is why it’s important as a footballer to invest wisely. Oil and gas is what I have always wanted to invest in, and I am glad it is working out very well with me and my partners Lanre Adekunle. Fanfaro Oil is number one in Africa, and we hope to make it big in Nigeria,” Agbetu said.
